It Takes Two to Talk

Help turn every moment of your child’s life into an opportunity to communicate

SAL Consulting is excited to offer the unique It Takes Two to Talk program to families in Sydney.

This program is for parents of children (birth to 5) who need some extra support with language development. It is designed for any parent or carer who would like to encourage and increase communication with their child.

The course is run by our Hanen trained Certified Practising Speech Pathologists who are experienced and passionate about supporting children and their families.

The program runs from our Ultimo clinic over 6 weeks, commencing 4 August 2018. The program includes weekly group parent sessions and fortnightly individual sessions with parent and child.

We successfully ran a free information evening on Thursday 5th July 2018, 6-8pm for families and carers. If you have any questions about the upcoming program, please contact us on [email protected].

2018 Program Schedule

• Thursday 5th July, 6-8pm: Information Evening (Free)
• Saturday 4th August: Pre-Program Consultations, with a Speech Pathologist for you and your child
• Thursday 9th August, 6-8pm Week 1: Parent Group Session 1 – Let your child lead
• Thursday 16th August, 6-8pm Week 2: Parent Group Session 2 – Follow your child’s lead
• Saturday 18th August: Individual Session with a Speech Pathologist for you and your child
• Thursday 23rd August, 6-8pm Week 3: Parent Group Session 3 – Take turns to keep the conversation going
• Thursday 30th August, 6-8pm Week 4: Parent Group Session 4 – Add language to the interaction
• Saturday 1st September: Individual Session with a Speech Pathologist for you and your child
• Thursday 6th September, 6-8pm Week 5: Parent Group Session 5 – Add language to build understanding
• Thursday 13th September, 6-8pm Week 6: Parent Group Session 6 – Let’s play (sharing books and music)
• Saturday 15th September: Individual Session with a Speech Pathologist for you and your child
